2027 Hyundai Palisade
2027 Hyundai Palisade
Large families often need a vehicle that seats eight without giving up cargo room or comfort features. The 2027 Hyundai Palisade offers eight-passenger seating in two trims, the Preferred Trend and the Luxury Hybrid, and seven-passenger captain’s chairs in the rest. HTRAC all-wheel drive is standard on all of them. Even the Preferred Trend comes with heated front and second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, a sunroof, a 12.3-inch navigation screen and Highway Driving Assist. Shoppers can pick a 3.5 L V6 with 287 hp or a 2.5 L turbo hybrid with 329 hp. The 2027 model year keeps the lineup much the same and adds a Night Package with all-black styling for the Ultimate Calligraphy trims. For families in Sherwood Park who use the Anthony Henday and Baseline Road to reach Edmonton for work, school and activities, the hybrid’s 8.1 L/100 km combined rating is worth comparing. The 2027 Palisade is available now at Sherwood Park Hyundai.
What’s new on the 2027 Hyundai Palisade?

Exterior
Every Palisade starts with the same tall, boxy design and a wide grille at the front. Standard lighting is all LED, from the headlights with projector lenses and High Beam Assist to the daytime running lights and taillights. Rain-sensing wipers, heated washer nozzles, privacy glass on the rear windows and power-folding heated mirrors are standard, even on the Preferred Trend. The new Night Package for 2027 is limited to the Ultimate Calligraphy and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid. It adds black 21-inch alloys, black bumpers, black roof rails and black Hyundai badges, with Abyss Black, Creamy White and Ecotronic Grey as paint choices.
The eight-seat Preferred Trend and Luxury Hybrid are 5,060 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,805 mm tall, and they ride on 20-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires. All trims share a 2,970 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is 187 mm, except on the XRT Pro, which sits at 212 mm with 18-inch all-terrain tires. Raised roof rails rated for 220 lb (100 kg) and a proximity-activated smart liftgate come standard. Every trim except the Preferred Trend also includes an integrated tow hitch with a cover.

Interior
The eight-seat layout uses a second-row bench that splits 60/40, slides, reclines and folds flat. A rear centre armrest is built into the bench. Behind it, a 60/40 third row has handles to help riders get in and out, plus its own HVAC vents. The second row slides forward for third-row access, and releases in the cargo area let you move it from the back. Cargo space is 540 L behind the third row, 1,310 L behind the second row and 2,455 L with both rows folded.
Up front, two 12.3-inch screens sit side by side: one is the digital gauge cluster, the other is the touchscreen with navigation, HD Radio and SiriusXM. Seven USB-C ports, with six providing 100 W, are placed around the cabin so every row can charge. The Preferred Trend uses leatherette seats and an 8-way power driver’s seat. The Luxury Hybrid adds leather, ventilated front seats, a power passenger seat, driver’s seat memory and ambient lighting, and lets buyers choose captain’s chairs for seven if they prefer.
Features

Powertrain
The Preferred Trend uses the 3.5 L direct-injection V6, which makes 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Power goes through an 8-speed automatic with SHIFTRONIC manual mode and paddle shifters. NRCan rates it at 12.2 L/100 km city, 9.7 highway and 11.1 combined, on regular unleaded. It can tow up to 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) with trailer brakes, as can the XRT Pro and Ultimate Calligraphy, which share this engine. The XRT Pro’s all-terrain setup brings its rating to 12.7 L/100 km combined.
The Luxury Hybrid, the other eight-seat trim, uses a 2.5 L turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid. Output is 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque, sent through a 6-speed hybrid automatic. Its ratings are 8.3 L/100 km city, 7.9 highway and 8.1 combined, and the Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid matches those figures. Both hybrids tow up to 4,000 lb (1,814 kg). All-wheel drive with drive mode selection, multi-terrain control modes and auto-levelling rear suspension is standard on every 2027 Palisade.

Technology
Families get a few features made for a full cabin. In-car intercom with Driver Talk lets the driver speak to passengers in the back rows, and Rear Seat Quiet Mode is also included. Rear Occupant Alert with ultrasonic sensors and Safe Exit Assist are standard as well. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, BlueLink connected services, a wireless charging pad and over-the-air updates are standard. Every trim except the Preferred Trend adds 14-speaker BOSE audio.
The driver assistance list is long even on the Preferred Trend: Highway Driving Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go, Lane Following Assist 2, Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and front and rear Parking Distance Warning. There are 10 airbags in every trim. The Luxury Hybrid adds Surround View Monitor, Blind View Monitor and side Parking Distance Warning. The Calligraphy models go further with Highway Driving Assist II, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
Versions
Hyundai offers the 2027 Palisade in five trims. Two of them seat eight: the Preferred Trend (V6) with leatherette, 20-inch wheels and an 8-speaker system, and the Luxury Hybrid with leather, BOSE audio, Surround View Monitor and an optional seven-seat layout. The XRT Pro is a seven-seat V6 trim aimed at rougher roads, with all-terrain tires, tow hooks, a rear e-LSD and 212 mm of clearance. The Ultimate Calligraphy and Ultimate Calligraphy Hybrid are seven-seat flagships with Nappa leather, ventilated second-row chairs, a dual-panel sunroof and a head-up display. The Night Package can be added to either Calligraphy.
